"Oh I know very well how temperamental they can be," Captain Nero said with a wicked grin. Then he drew his sword-a longsword with a black blade.* He raised the sword high in the air, pointing the tip of the blade towards the sky. As if on cue, that same voice from before floated from the large ship, rising in crescendo until it was almost a scream.

Something stirred beneath the surface of the water. A familar gigantic head crashed out of the water, spraying the deck of the Andromeki and its occupants with the salty ocean. It let out a growl so loud, they could feel the vibrations in their chests.

While this was happening, one of the Andromeki's crew members who was closest to the side of the ship heard a loud thump and turned to see the a stranger had somehow climbed his way aboard the ship. As he was approaching the stranger, however, the sound of the voice stopped him in his tracks and seconds later, upon seeing the sea monster once again rise out of the waves, he nearly dropped his sword in fear. Needless to say, he seemed to have completely forgotten about the strange man.


*(It's important to note here that the blade is also shimmering strangely, similar to the cloth).

Oswald takes the shot. One normal arrow pointed straight at captain black's face.

The stranger's jaw dropped when the serpent rose its head out of the water, and he began to have second thoughts about having boarded this ship. He wanted to leap overboard, but his boat had probably drifted off by now. He fumbled around in his jacket, taking out an ornate and heavily decorated gun inlaid with crystals and some glowing substance, and an oddly-colored bullet. As the man took aim with his bow, he was loading his pistol with said bullet. He then hopped up onto the railing and took aim at the monster with the weapon, grabbing the lines with one hand to keep balance. 
"There once was a Snake in the sea.
Whose neck was as thick as a tree.
It came here to play,
But would rue the day.
It ever should come to face me."
And with that, he took the shot, the bullet sailing through the air at the serpent's face, but it never made impact. Instead, just before it did, it erupted into dark, dense clouds that swirled around the creature, a small, localized storm was brewing in just that general area. After a few seconds, a bolt of lightning shot out from the clouds, hitting the monster in the eye. As time passed, several more arcs of electricity would erupt from the cloud while the man loaded another bullet in his pistol, ducking behind a cannon while he did.

The sea serpent shrieked in pain, smoke rising from its seared flesh. It dove back into the water in a desperate attempt to escape the electric storm.

Anticipating just such an attack, Captain Nero had already ducked by the time the arrow was nocked and rolled forward just as the arrow flew past harmlessly overhead and embedding itself in one of the ship's masts.

"Now be a good sport, will you? I can assure you that there's enough wealth in that chest to be shared amongst everyone, including you. If Red here chooses to share, that is."

"Captain! Someone's driven back the serpent! A magic wielder!" One of Captain Nero's crew members shouted, pointing to the spot where the sea serpent had once been.

"What?!" Captain Nero snarled, looking around the ship for the culprit.

Suddenly, there was a sound of rushing water and everyone turned around in time to see a funnel of water that seemed to originate from the sea smash itself a cannon and the person who was hiding behind it. The force of it flattened him to deck while the cannon was knocked to the side just enough for newcomer to be exposed to everyone's view.

Oswald jumps down and tries to grab the magic cloth off of Captain Nero while he is distracted.

The stranger grinned proudly to himself as he watched the serpent retreat back beneath the waves, though his moment was cut short by the sound of water rushing toward his hiding spot. He had only a few moments to flatten himself to the deck before the cannon he was hiding behind was pushed over him. Luckily, he was able to avoid being crushed, but now he was in full view of the crew. He stood up and held a hand up defensively, the other hand hiding his pistol behind his back
"Mind me not, fair crew! I am but a frail wordsmith. Is this a bad time?"
